Timber sleepers are a versatile way to create raised flowerbeds, mark the edge of a shrubbery or rockery, and give stable support to timber decks and composite decking boards. Jewson stock green and brown timber sleepers for garden use, both of which have been treated for a guaranteed lifespan of at least 15 years - the only difference is the colour.
Wooden sleepers are used to build the sub-frame for decking, including if you choose to use hard-wearing composite decking planks instead of natural timber. The incised preservative process applied to our garden railway sleepers means they can be used directly, or you can apply the same decking protection products you plan to use on your decking planks.
Our garden sleepers wood can be hidden from view by adding a skirt or edging to your deck, or it can be left visible and stained or painted to match your decking timbers and any decking accessories like stair strings, balustrades and handrails.
