Medium Density Fibreboard, better known as MDF, found fame in the 1990s as the unexpected star of TV property makeover shows, and for good reason. Its machining capability, versatility and unique texture combine to make MDF sheets the go-to material for all sorts of home improvements. Our MDF boards, hardboard and pinboard give you plenty of options when you need sheet materials.
Our MDF varies in width from 610mm to 1220mm and in length from 1220mm to 3050mm. The thickness ranges from 6mm through to 25mm. MDF panels are easy to work with and it can be machined into any shape with a consistently smooth edge and exposed texture. This makes MDF panels a perfect candidate for use with routers to create channels and decorative edges, with no splintering and little to no sanding required afterwards.
When it comes to assembling MDF boards, you can use a wide range of fixings, including wood glue. Our hardboard is an ideal product for furniture backing, drawer bottoms, temporary floor covering and packaging.

As required by UK law, we stock responsibly sourced timber. Our MDF and hardboard includes products certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) chain of custody schemes.
