The BLM Lead Flashing Code 5 3m x 600mm is traditionally used in the chimney and roof or used to join gutters to drains for protection against water and weathering. This product measures about 3m x 600mm x 1.80mm (L x W x T) and weighs about 48kg. This roll is made of lead material that is environmentally friendly due to its low melting point and end of life recycling rate. The British Standard ensures the alloy used contains a minimum amount of lead and the correct amount of trace elements. It is used for a wide range of roofing applications whilst providing that exceptional level of waterproofing to prevent leaks and water damage. The lead sheet is flexible making it user-friendly, is naturally malleable and corrosion-resistant. It's capability of expanding and contracting at various temperatures makes it durable. lt should be fitted in accordance with BS 6915.
