The Skene Group Glencrete Hollow 10.4N Solid Dense Concrete Block is an aggregate block that is used for a variety of load-bearing applications. Measuring 440 x 215 x 215mm, it is manufactured from concrete which makes it robust, durable and an ideal choice in domestic projects.
Features & benefits
- Hollow Blocks have certain advantages over solid Blockwork. They are more lightweight and therfore easier to handle. They can be reinforced by stell and wet concrete, and can save considerable amounts of mortar id shell bedding is used.
- Hollow Blocks are extremely effective when a wall has to withstand lateral loading. The wall may be reinforced by incorporating steel rods into the core and filling with concrete.
- Hollow Blocks comply with BC EN 771-3 and are specified for highways work as permeable backing to earth retainig structures.
